week 7- ws- warm and cool
This week my intention was to pay closer attention to light in terms of warm and cool colors/tones. November definitely has this beautiful amber glow and I perceive the light as more amber and orange. It was interesting to find almost a balance of the cool in many of the natural light situations. The digital photographs seem very saturated in these photos, more than usual, but the saturation was not altered. This really reveals to me that the use of more saturate colors on stage isn't too far from those found naturally.
This is from Ballet Hispanico's performance on Thursday evening. I thought this was a beautiful example of warmth with mix of different cools for stage. It was also helpful to see the grey marley after two pieces prior that used black Marley. They were able to use the black drop in the back, but the space was still bright. I enjoyed the lighting design as I felt it supported the dance without distracting from it.

I absolutely love your observance that saturate color is also natural. Too often we get wrapped up in natural colors being tints but we experience the whole spectrum in nature and it is part of our psyche and how we tell stories. Beautiful post!
