I was astonished by the vibrant colors in this projection. When I viewed this projection in real time, the purple coloring was overpowering the blue coloring. However, when I took a photo of this projection, the blue coloring came out stronger in the photo. It’s funny how a visual is affected by what lens it’s viewed through. One can see this image as more purple, while another might view this as more blue. What colors are we really seeing? Is it a combination of both? Or is it an optical illusion?
Beautiful photo and nice analysis of color. Cameras have such an impact on hw we perceive color and depth. It is why a video of dance or theatre pieces can be so misleading and why there are lighting designers who specialize in filming theatrical events.
